What we believe
Traditionally, healthcare integrations are considered complex, time consuming and costly endeavors. At Founda we firmly believe that this status quo must change for us to achieve the scale of interoperability necessary to drive innovation and tackle the healthcare challenges of today and tomorrow.
Our approach centers around standardization as the key to navigating the growing complexity of healthcare integration. However, we recognize that true standardization goes beyond traditional technical standards like HL7v2, DICOM, and FHIR, which have been predominant in healthcare for years.
Standardization isn't just about technical protocols; it transforms how we collaborate, how we share healthcare data for primary and secondary use, and how we employ technology to adhere to privacy regulations and security policies in healthcare.
That's why we go beyond offering a standards-based set of technical integration capabilities. We also focus on standardizing interaction patterns across our platform and providing essential supporting functionalities, crucial for achieving true interoperability in healthcare.
Our guiding star ⭐ is the adoption of FHIR-based integration profiles from the "Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise" organization. These profiles serve as our blueprint for building and expanding the Founda Health Platform, ensuring that our solutions align with the industry's best practices and standards. From these profiles we implement the actors and transactions that fit to the interaction patterns our platform supports.
By championing standardization in healthcare integration, we're driving a paradigm shift that empowers innovators to improve healthcare on a global scale. Together, we're building the foundation for a brighter and more interoperable future in healthcare.
