Who we serve
Let's shed some light on the two central players Founda is dedicated to empowering: Provider Organizations and Application Providers. We address the technical, governance and scalability challenges in order to provide a cost-effective solution allowing both Provider Organizations and Applications Providers to focus on their own core business.
Provider Organization
A Provider Organization represents an organization that delivers (clinical) care to patients, or generically speaking, to customers. Think of Provider Organizations as healthcare providers such as hospitals, clinics, independent physicians, healthcare delivery networks, nursing homes, long term stay facilities, etc. A Provider Organization typically uses a number of (clinical) IT systems such as an EHR, PACS, Lab systems, etc.
Application Provider
An Application Provider represents an organization (mostly vendors) that offers applications and services to Provider Organizations to help the latter to deliver care. Think of Application Providers as organizations that deliver (clinical) information systems, or applications in the domains of remote monitoring, home health, device monitoring, chronic disease management, clinical call centers, eHealth/mHealth, personal health devices, etc.
In order for Application Providers to deliver value to Provider Organizations they often:
- Require access to existing (health) data of the Provider Organization they work with,
- Need to integrate into the process and workflows of the Provider Organization, and
- Provide (health) data back to the Provider Organization.
This is where the Founda Health Platform comes in. It facilitates access to, and the exchange of, (health) data, and provides a variety of services allowing Application Providers to act on the right workflow and process triggers.
