Platform and Partner Lifecycle Policy

We perform a release at the end of each Shape Up cycle, resulting in multiple releases throughout the year. Version numbers include the year and a sequential release number (for example, 2020-1). The first release of each year is commercially considered a major release; subsequent releases within the year are treated as version upgrade releases.

Each major release has a product life cycle span of 2 (calendar) years. During this 2-year span customers are entitled to receive support under the definition of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) linked to their contract with Founda Health. 2 years after the commercial introduction of a product version (i.e., 2020-1) it will go into an “end of life” period that end 12 months after the last release of that version.

During an end of life (EOL) period customers can continue to use their product version but will be requested to upgrade to a later version in case issues arise that cannot be solved with a work around. After the EOL period ends the specific product version is no longer supported, end of support (EOS), and customers are no longer entitled to receive support.







As the interoperability platform can be combined with several 3rd party products the following table identifies the strategy which 3rd party products are supported with what version of the Interoperability platform. As each 3rd party product has its own life cycle the intent is to stick to these as much as possible.

In the table “n.a.s” stands for “not actively supported” which means the Interoperability Platform version listed in the column header can still be run with these 3rd party components but are no longer extensively tested.
